And they're in

As most saw, I got Henry's pictures today! I'm so happy! I still cannot believe in just a few days he will really be one! 

He is so stinking cute! I love all of them but have a select few that are faves.

I made a pot roast today. It turned out great. We stayed home all day...now it's snowing and I'm so not excited! 

These numbers made me have to push Henry's party back to next weekend. Better safe travels than have to have people miss it!

One year photos

So I had a friend of mine take pictures of Henry this morning since he's nearly one. I had two outfits and was all excited! He didn't smile once! That's ok with me because he has a pretty good looking serious face! 

These are some of the awesome backdrops Lacey has! 

He loved rubbing his hands all over it-he just did not want to smile!

I loved this one! 

This is her super hero city one! Probably the coolest thing I've seen!! The girls had a few pics taken too, and with Ayden- Lacey's son. We had fun and it was good to get out! 

Ended the day with messy faces!

Eye dr

Isabelle tested 20/40 at her five year check up so we followed up with the eye doctor today. She is slightly far sighted but not enough to need glasses-yet. Thank goodness. 

With her first reading she had to sit on someone's lap because they couldn't lower the instrument down enough.

She wasn't nervous...she actually did great.

Henry and Viola were wanting to be up in her chair more than she was.

Dr Anderson let Viola ride the chair back down. 

Papa Charlie built the girls their stage for their room and delivered it this afternoon! Viola was quite excited!

She got busy acting!

Now we just need to finish the top and get so shows going.

He loves that he can see himself in the mirror now!!

Dapper

Today is probably one of the first times I've really used that word and had fun with it! Henry knew he was looking good, too! Kid started posing!

He's so stinking cute!

My mom came down for a quick visit today! That helped me...I had a pretty rough morning with the girls. I've been mean mommy and I hate it!

They put a puzzle together. 

Found out Viola STILL has an ear infection...so awesome. So now she's in another antibiotic for ten more days (that will be 17 straight)! I'm going to ask about tubes next week at Henry's one year appointment. I'm so exhausted!

Papa Charlie

Today is papa Charlie's birthday! We wanted to spend time with him so we invited him to lunch!

All three kids were very excited to see him! Iz sang to him and laughed through the entire thing! This man loves my kids and I'm very thankful for how much he spoils them! 

We had our usual story time. 

Viola got up close and personal this time! 

These two couldn't focus at all. 

We played outside while we waited for Iz to finish at school!

For real?

I give you Henry's birthday cake! We went and ordered it at hyvee this morning. Did you know that for their first birthday they give you a FREE smash cake! Score! I really didn't know what to do for his cake, so we settled on this. 

Can you believe this awesome January weather!!

We had a play date at Lindsay's house after Iz got out of school. We had the kiddos outside to play for a bit!

The temps are too good to pass up the fresh air!

I hope this girl is happier tomorrow-she's still having a hard time. Makes me wonder if her meds aren't working. Time will tell!

Homemade

I made homemade chicken and noodles today. I was quite proud of how good it turned out! 

After adding mashed potatoes to the side, and a little salt, I had 2 out of 3 kids who chowed down!

This girl had thirds, at least of the chicken! She loved it. That never happens!!

This kid went to town. And Viola only ate the potatoes.

I struggle with days like this where there isn't much to do, and we were lazy. Ok I wasn't, I did my usual thing along with grocery shopping ALONE! That was sweet! 

Vi woke up grumpy and had a very rough day! She passed out sitting up again...

Spoiled

I do not spoil my kids...enough. I find it very hard to balance my time between three...but I do have reinforcements who can help me spoil. Usually it's in ways that I cannot at my house.
