Crazy Christmas

We had our last Christmas with Ryan's family today. It's always a blast. Loud, crazy, busy, a little chaotic, but fun. This year everyone was healthy and everyone was excited and happy. And as always I ate way too much food!

Personal space

No mom gets that. At Jess when she has kids under age ten? Eleven or older? I don't know. All I can say is my lap was full this morning. And I loved it.

Make up

Today I gave Iz a lesson in make up
This was how she did hers.


Then I tried my best to tone her down and did it for her. She loved it.
We may have added a touch of eye liner and mascara for fun.

Cheap entertainment

The kids played next door most of the afternoon today.
Adrian started a new cheap and fun playscape trend!

Merry Christmas

Today was fun. I love living through my kids when they open gifts! It's fun to be a kid again for a day!



The kids loved all their gifts. Each one got something special.


Henry and Adrian spent the entire day fighting over his firetruck he got. It was money well spent!


Iz loves her little iPod thing. She had her headphones on all day. Loud singing and house roaming while doing so; we'll never get her back now!


Vi wore her Super girl tutu all day and plans to tomorrow as well. She loved her Belle Barbie. She spent most of her day playing with that.


The girls got some melting beads too, and we all did some of those and made some shapes.
It was a long day, it was a good day and the kids are happy!

Xmas eve

Today has been a fun day. We had Ryan's family Christmas at his aunt Mary's house this year. It was a smaller group than last and only managed to get one pic!



Snuggles with papa!
I spent two glorious hours alone in the basement today wrapping gifts. It was fun. Even though I hate wrapping, I was alone with me time!

Soundtracks

Ryan has been busy making a list of songs and putting it on an iPod for Iz. This is her big gift for xmas. Tonight they all sat on the couch for over two hours downloading songs on the computer. She has absolutely no clue why or that it's even for her! It was fun singing songs she likes and songs we loved from back in the day!
She's going to be so excited and happy to know why they did this come Christmas morning!


Oh and Henry partook in my dinner tonight by sharing my salad with me.

How small

How small of a space can a baby fit into?



Very small. This cupboard isn't any wider than Adrian. He managed to get himself in.
And yes. That is dinner in his hair!


Our AEA visit was today too. Julie is still very pleased with how Adrian's doing. She wasn't worried yet with his speech, and that made me feel better. He'll get there on his own terms. Just like with everything else.

Play date

Iz had a play date with her friend Sydney today. Viola had her last day of preschool for the year. Two weeks off now for both kids! It's going to be SO fun! Insert slight sarcasm. Haha

Puzzle surprise

Viola came home from preschool today with all sorts of Christmas goodies. This is by far my fave! It's her hand print picture turned into a real puzzle. Such an awesome idea.
I want to glue it and frame it!
She has the best teachers!!

Walls

Ryan and his dad started building our basement back up by putting walls up today! So exciting!!



I cannot wait until we have this space to use! It's so far away but so close too.





And for fun he took the kids down the street on his grandpas old three wheeler. They loved it!

Tough cookie

Adrian has been rocking a 103 degree fever today. He's been one tough cookie. He was literally up all night tossing and turning and crying. Ryan rubbed his back for maybe all of five minutes this morning and he was out.
I did notice he is cutting two more top teeth too. When it rains it pours with this boy.


I was able to take the kids to a freebie movie this afternoon while Adrian slept more. The roads weren't too terrible. I just really hope I get some sleep tonight and Adrian too!

Flu?

I myself have never personally had the flu. I do, however, think our house has been hit.
Henry has never been so lethargic before like he has today. I have felt so bad for him. He's been miserable. He fell asleep coming home from taking Viola to school st 8:15.





Oh. And yes. Only Viola. Iz stayed home sick too. She coughed a lot and complained of a belly ache. She cried when we pulled up to school and said she didn't want to go. I felt bad and couldn't say no. I'm glad I didn't. She spiked a fever.

All four have coughs. Nasty ones at that.

I took Viola to the doctor for croup and we left with an ear infection instead. She'll be better tomorrow!
Adrian and Henry are clear for any other issues though, so that was good news. I always ask for them to get checked out too. Love that he's willing to look for me!
Henry fell asleep waiting at Walgreens and then slept almost all afternoon. So did Iz.


I'm hoping lots of rest will make everyone feel better tomorrow. Better now than Christmas.

16 months

Our tiny man is 16 months old today! Crazy to think.
He LOVES to climb, "run", and laugh at his brother and sisters. He's FINALLY saying mama, but not directed at me. He just says it. NO! is still his favorite word.
He's getting better with food. He LOVES ham. Strange, but I'll take it.


He is always doing something. Pushes any toy that will go. He loves stuffed animals and baby dolls too.
We did our usual play date Wednesday. Vi took off like a pro on this.


And Henry kept busy pushing trucks.


And brag. Iz is rocking her reading at school!!

Round 2

So yesterday Ryan spent the day tearing apart more walls and rebuilding walls in the basement. He came up around 4 and didn't feel good. Just like that. Boom. He's sick again.
He stayed home today and I'm hoping he doesn't have to miss tomorrow. Adrian is coughing and sneezing every two minutes now and Viola was croupy sounding this morning.

I'm preparing myself for round two of a plague. I can also hope for the best though, right?


We managed to stay pretty low key all day. I sprayed Lysol on just about every surface possible. Here's to getting healthy.

Shopping

Ryan and I Christmas shopped today. I'm not an avid shopper. I'm indecisive, it's timely and expensive. We aren't done yet but got a good start.
Henry is going to be one happy dude. But now I have to find a box big enough for this!


I didn't take pics of anything else. It's going to be fun come Christmas morning!!


Henry and Ryan got hair cuts this morning too. Isn't he the best looking Henry ever?!

Popcorn

We go to Theisens for popcorn.
Because it's just that good and exciting!
