Finding Things

Not that the library was a new thing- we did go today. Ryan was home sick so I was able to drive the van. Oh yeah-side note-we are down a car! Long story and I'm not going into detail other than I plan to walk a lot! Good thing we live so close to stuff. So if you see us walking-wave! :-)
We had so much fun on our play date yesterday that we met up at the library! (Sorry Krista I know it's a not so good pic)
Iz got really into one of the songs-tony chestnut knows I love you:
I love her!
Viola loves Carley and Krista's lap!
So I had the girls bring their baby dolls to baby talk-in HIGH hopes that Viola wouldn't run away: it worked for a short time! She ran off twice!
Henry was quite content watching the other babies today!
He also found the elephant toy that hangs on his car seat! He had lots of stories to tell it.
He is just way too cute!
That's his exciting news of the day-he found something new and was very attentive to it and I was quite excited!

In art news-like I said last time the painting stayed IN the tub today!
Even though I cleaned the tub yesterday this is also a quick way to clean it again!
They had fun and kept it under control!
A few threats were made but it was over all a MUCH better experience this time!
Until tomorrow!

Play date

Henry had his very first official play date today!
An old co-worker of mine nannies a little girl who is 7 months and we had them over this morning.
Viola was fascinated by both of them being there! (As well as Carley's paci-shocker!)
Henry just laid there and watched Carley play. She had fun and was pretty cute!
Viola loved showing her the water beads!!

Aside from that, the girls painted plates.
Isabelle got really creative with hers:
I was trying so hard to think of something to challenge Isabelle with. I finally came up with this: we had yarn (of which I had no idea what to do with) and giant pasta.
Insert lacing experiment that worked! (Don't you just LOVE her outfit!)
Viola tried and tried and just gave up. Iz did great though. Another activity that I successfully stuffed in my already stuffed closet!
While the girls painted Henry sat in the bumbo and watched.
He got tired of that so I held him-that boy LOVES his fist!!
This afternoon was very challenging. The girls tested absolutely every nerve in my body. It gets SO old so quickly and I think someday I may just really hit my head on the wall. It just drives me nuts how much better they are when Ryan is here-maybe if I had a deeper "manly" voice?
Nah-I like being mommy, but not mean mommy. Hope tomorrow is better!! I'm off my soap box now-all are asleep (even Ry-he's sick) so I can relax! :-)

To end: she did all this totally on her own as a free play sort of thing this morning. She amazes me so much!!

Until tomorrow!

Viola

Viola is two! It's crazy to me. Prepare for tons of photos!!!
She was a miracle baby to us in a sense:
I had an ectopic pregnancy before her that required surgery right after we moved back from Connecticut. It was pretty serious and very hard on me. But just two months after that we were pregnant with her!

She has brought SO much joy to us and a best friend to Isabelle!
From day one she was more than words could express!
She was ALWAYS a happy baby!
Always smiling
And quite bald!
She loved to make messes:

She has her best friend for life:
Who will always be by her side!
You're quite for a reason! Those first years of just watching have turned you into a feisty and sneaky little booger at times!
But oh sweet girl- we love you so much!!
Even though you were mad at the doctor this morning, you were still cute and even right now as you refuse to lay down and go to bed!!
Happy 2nd bday sassy pants!!

In other news: Henry got adjusted in a different way or I should say technique! He was put on his tummy and he adjusted his lower back that way in hopes of helping his pooping.
I'm glad to say he had a blow out this afternoon followed ten minutes later by another huge poop (I know too much info but that's big news for him). Then he crashed!
Isabelle kept busy all afternoon playing with napkins, paper plates and plastic silverware!
Patterns
And picnics :-)
She's my little mommy :-)
Until tomorrow!!!

Party!

Ryan's work!

We had VIola's second bday party this afternoon!!  Despite the crummy weather we had fun! We were supposed to have the party at the park, but due to "severe" storms we crammed into our apartment. Even though it was tight, it was fun.

"It's my party and I'll cry if I want to"! She was NOT happy about her hair!

She loved the water beads. Ryan did not!  They glow when the flash goes off!

Still can't believe she's 2!!!

Henry was excited to dress up!!

Grandma Joyce got to meet Henry today!! As did Papa Lewie! And Debbie, Greg, and Justin! He had a very busy day of being passed around! Maybe he'll sleep all night! Ha-who am I kidding!

Isabelle and Goldie were reunited! They had a lot of fun together!! I'm so glad they got to play and be here!

Vi made out with some fun stuff!
I will reflect on the past two years tomorrow on her realy birthday, but today was just an all around good family and friends day!!!
Daddy's girl!
Until tomorrow!

Bridges

The bridge was such a big hit yesterday that I took the girls to Brookside Park this morning.  I didn't have the van so I didn't have a stroller! :-/ Good thing we didn't have to walk far!

The girls ran back and forth on the bridge several times.
Viola tries so hard to keep up with Isabelle!
Isabelle quickly found the playground so we walked over and the girls played.
Well, Vi more or less roamed around. She was very tired and cranky this morning from Isabelle waking her up!
The strangest swing I've come across yet! But both loved it.
Viola thinks she's bigger than what she really is!

This afternoon we played in our courtyard. Iz rode her bike.
Each wanted to wear a flower bow in their hair...
Henry did tummy time with his monster tag blanket.
He didn't really dig this today. Maybe it's because I made him lay on his sisters girly blanket!
I made water beads today for the kids to play with and experiment with at Viola's bday party! :-) here are photos to show a step-by-step process of how they work!
They come in a package very tiny. Put in water (we added color to make them fun) and watch them grow! The longer they sit the bigger they get!! I hope the kids like them! I know Iz is excited!!
Until tomorrow!
