Mystery fixed

I had a status the other night that said it's hard to cook anything when you don't have any pots or pans. Somehow ours ended up getting thrown away... We figured that much out. We needed a new set anyway. I'd like to show you our new pots and pans:
They are a coppery orange color! I am happy we have stuff to cook with again!

That adventure took up a good chunk of our morning, so sfter naps my mother-in-law came to pick the kids and I up after she got off work to have dinner with them! So we all headed to the farm (minus Ryan-who is still at work as I type this).
We got our playtime in!
Iz spun herself around and around!
And I think it's safe to say we wore papa out!
There were several horse rides!
Henry had fun playing with different toys and getting spoiled!
It was a fun night and we are all beat!

Until tomorrow!
A cute new to him outfit!!

Let me transfer you.....

I spent my entire morning going around in circles. My insurance has been messed up for a while and I finally was able to get somewhere today-but only after being transferred a thousand times. Each number I called I had to replay my menu options just to make sure I had phone numbers written down right! It was very frustrating!
Because of all the back and forthness on my phone, I'm now calling the park my office. It's where I take the girls when I need to be where I can talk! Here's what they did while I "worked":
To be little again and have no worries!
I made even more phone calls. Oh and did I mention I was out and about trying to find a local office to drop off paper work? No- well funny thing is I coulsnt find it because they've been closed all week due to moving into a new building! And the car died on me at least six times! That was annoying!
On a brighter note I took all my frustrations out on cleaning and organizing! I started with the garage;
This is huge progress! Just saying.
I then scrubbed the tile with a brush to get the dirt out. Mops and wipes wouldn't work . I busted my butt and sweat a lot for that! But I hate dirty feet!!
I got more pictures hung:
I finally got all the laundry put away and hung up! That was a huge feat!! I vacuumed, did a load of laundry and dishes! I wish for one day none of these things would pile up!
The girls played with sand and spray bottles after nap:
I'm glad we can use this table outside now!!!
He just hangs out and looks all over! I had to get out the next round of clothes. He just needs to stop growing!!
Now the kids are in bed and I look back and feel good about how productive I was today!!

Until tomorrow!

All things new

I'm slowly starting to remember how to get to certain places in town. There are a TON of one way streets so that has been really throwing me off.
Our first adventure (ok mine) was calling the dr and getting an appointment for Henry for his SIX (where is time going?!) month check up.
We then ventured to the library and got our new card and some books!
It's not like Ames,(I will really miss that library!) but it has books and that's what matters.
Something that NEVER happens, happened today! Iz crawled up in the chair with Henry and I and fell asleep (snoring, mind you)! I was so excited and I slept guilt free! Henry had an aweful night so I desperately needed that nap!
After naps, we went and played at the elementary school where Iz will attended when she starts kindergarten. They have a pretty cool play ground.
Side one and side two
Viola loves this swing
And Henry chilled again
We had to take an official picture of Iz at her new school
Vi was screaming at me by this point because she didn't want to leave.
Our night ended with a huge surprise out our front door:
I had to take one last trash bag out and I opened the door to all the balloons going up in our neighborhood!
I mean, it was seriously awesome, and the girls were so excited! Had Henry not just gone to bed, we would have walked over!
Pretty sure there were about 50 that took off total!!
Until tomorrow!!

Official roller

Henry is officially rolling over from his back to tummy. Though I didn't witness it today, the girls and I walked into a different room and we all three came back to him on his tummy.
He is also starting to scoot backwards while on his back. Strange, yes, but he's getting the hang of figuring out how to be mobile!! He is also getting really good at sitting alone:
He liked exploring the grass....for a short time.
We spent a good chunk of our day outside. It's SO nice to be able to just walk out...no steps....a small yard and it's just great! Plus good temps, too!
We've been busy decorating the cement-today we did the driveway.
Henry watched the girls run around.

This morning I stopped and picked up Isabelle's preschool enrollment paperwork. She will follow a real school year! Makes me excited but sad-my baby is a big girl now! I will post more on that when I have more details to share.

The kids played with their cousins for a bit, and that's about all we did.
My night ended with Iz getting sick all over the tile floor (thank god), and she informed me that she drank too much milk. Either way, she's asleep and I'm glad it only happened once!

Until tomorrow!
We also stopped at a park-chilling like it's nobody's business!! :-)

Therapy

I probably need it, after the type of day we had, but I decided that spending time with Isabelle outside during naps was good enough.
I got pretty creative...Iz was more thrilled that I was out there with her than anything. It was such nice weather too, and I couldn't keep her inside!
Other than that, I've been running in circles trying to decorate, organize and keep up with this place. I will not lie-I miss Ames terribly! I don't know what it is, but I just really want to "go home". Hopefully someday soon we can be back or closer to it!

Until tomorrow

Balloons

It's balloon fest week down here in Itown! Today it kicked off with a parade! Hurray-more candy! Not! It's ok though! A good chunk of it went home with my mom! So we are ok! Sort of :-/
So I guess the balloon thing is a pretty big deal. I've never been to this so I'm a newbie! I think we will take the girls and Henry tomorrow night to the night glow!
The parade was fun....lots of neat floats, cool music, and it wasn't too long!
We had great seats in the shade, and the people who live on the property gave my mom a chair to sit on! Real mid-western hospitality right there!
Henry had fun! And no mom, I didn't ask for the approval of this picture! Tough cookies! :-)
Brianne came down with Corinne and Caylee and the girls played all afternoon. Henry really got a good look at his future wife!
Haha-this was the best we could do-either they were eating or sleeping! They're soul mates!
The girls LOVE Caylee!
All they wanted to do was hold her!
I've gotten some pictures hanging on the walls now, and I hope that with Ryan here tomorrow we can get a lot done!! :-)
Until tomorrow!
Candy.... Parade..... Remember! Sucker tongues!! And yes-Vi does have 3!!

My 28th year

Today marked my 28th year of life. I had a fun day. Isabelle took it upon herself to tell every person we saw that it was too! She is funny! So I spent my morning with the kids, and then Ryan's mom came to get them for an over nighter at her house! I'm very excited to sleep all night!
I went on a date with Ryan. We rode the bike to dinner at BWW
I took a crown!
We shared the most delicious drink:
A blueberry mint mohito....so good!
Now I'm home-alone-watching the news! I live a pretty exciting life! I had a blast on the bike though!!

Until tomorrow!
I did their hair today!

The final good bye

So the funeral was this morning, and it was a nice traditional episcopal service. I'm not one who is hugely on the religious side, but every time Audrey plays amazing grace on the organ...it gets me. It's down right one of the most beautiful songs.
The funeral was military honors and after the service they covered the caskit with the American flag.
I tried hard to get good photos of this, it was difficult, but without a doubt one of the most honorable things I've ever witnessed.
They had a 21 gun salute and played tapps.
My mom was given the honor of getting to keep the flag, and it was just awesome watching them fold it.
It took longer than I expected.

Presenting to our family on behalf of the US government
It was very moving and extremely emotional for everyone there!
I feel so humbled knowing that my gramps is home with his wife of 62 years and is watching over us all now!

We are finally back home in Indianola and Ryan and I are slowly making progress. It's hard with three kids!
Girls room-MUCH bigger!!

Our mess of a room!

Now I get to decorate and make ity own!!! Viola watched jepordy! Haha
