We continued to go through photos today. The funeral home does an honorary slide show at every visitation. It's so neat seeing the life that he and my grandma lived before they had their kids! This is a picture I came across of them together. You can just feel the love:
It's beautiful! :-) and my grandma had rockin legs!! Haha
I found a few of just gramps and myself, others of just him being his crazy and goofy self, and others with my brother and cousins.
I love this one. Yes I was a red head when I was born- and I loved playing!
We had lots of visits from my grandparents when we lived in Mason City. They were second parents to my brother and I!
Like I said last night, our family is close and full of love. My cousin Ben and I-there are a few photos of us like this at this age!
Ok, now I know you are all thinking the same thing I am-"what a rockin outfit!" Ha! Believe it or not, my grandpa did all the clothes shopping for my grandma! The man had amazing fashion sense and a great taste in styles! He also had more shoes than probably a lot of women! There were a many times we played dress up in his clothes! No-he didn't get me this outfit, and I know it's bad-it was the 90's! :-)
We all loved getting our time with this amazing, smart and strong willed man! :-) I will always and forever cherish him!
Taking a turn now-off the super heavy and onto light hearted things!
Ok, now I have to show you how I found the kids this morning.
This is not unusual for Viola, however...Isabelle:
Out cold most of the night off her bed! She woke up and said, "huh, I guess I fell off my bed!?" Haha silly girl!
Henry is getting cozy with Lilly as she is with him.
Still an attention begger!
The girls picked tons of flowers outside tonight.
Oh and we managed to get Isabelle's hair "somewhat" fixed.
Henry is slowly starting to scoot himself backwards. Well, at least tonight! Off his boppy and was all sorts of excited about it!
So now they're all in bed and I'm going to eat a piece of cake and like it too!!
