Kindergarten day one

This has been an incredibly emotional day! 

Waking up and getting your oldest ready for kindergarten...I don't think anything or anyone can prepare you for the final moments before you say goodbye. 

Iz woke up with a full blown cold, and was very emotional and nervous. I tried to tell her it was ok to be nervous and scared, but that once she got there she would have so much fun! I'm so glad my mom was here to help and comfort Iz as well! 

When we got to school we waited outside until Iz went in. 

I gave her one final hug before she went in and she was trying so hard to not cry. That's when I lost my brave face. She didn't see it, but I couldn't hold back. It was literally just yesterday she was a baby and boom. The girls in school! I love how much she loves school though. Part of the reason we decided to go with year round! 

I thought about her all day! I was so excited for pick up and to hear how her day was! 

She LOVED it-as we all knew she would! 

She "rocked her first day" as their crowns say! She has so much joy in her and was able to tell us about everything in lots of excitement! She's very excited to go back tomorrow!!
