Hearing test

We had Adrian's hearing test this morning. I have pictures to show the process but they're all from google because I didn't get a chance to get pics. I needed both hands to hold the boy!
So in the beginning we went over history. He passed his newborn test in the nicu. With that test they're able to measure a pitch higher and farther up into the brain than what we did today. Kinda cool!

This first picture is measuring the pressure to see if there would be any fluid behind the eardrum. The waves won't bounce and come back if there was because the eardrum can't move. He passed this part and didn't have any fluid!

The second part we were in a room similar to this. Obviously we didn't do any headphones. The audiologist spoke into the room at different volumes. Then she moved into different pitches and volumes. Some he turned right towards, and a few he didn't because it was too soft. In all though, he passed 3/4 tests! The audiologist wasn't too concerned with the fourth because that's the one they hit higher up in the brain when he was in the nicu. She did recommend a recheck in six months to see if he'd do the headphones. That way they can really rule anything out in a more specific way. Fingers crossed for six months! He handled it beautifully though!
Now we just gotta get him speaking words.

Finally got Isabelle's pics back today. Her shy smile. It's still cute.
