Getting assistance

This morning Henry found himself in a pickle while at the library.

I thought for sure he'd need my assistance getting out-but he's smarter than that! 

Silly me! 

We got invited to go to an open house event this afternoon. It wasn't for a real house like you think-it's for something in town called The Pantry. It housed resources for people who need a little extra help. It was neat going because it brought back a lot of flash backs to the volunteer programs I know of through the ISU College of Human Sciences from when I was in college! One of the ladies was telling me I needed to connect with CCR for setting up my own in home daycare! I'm not quite ready for that just yet!! 

Anyway! They had things for the kids to do as well. 

They got face painting-only on their arms

Made ornaments

Decorated stockings

And listened to a few Christmas stories

We don't really need any of the resources we saw, but it was neat to see many of them there and get more familiar with what Warren County has to offer when it comes to those who need more aide. I may have been scoping out possible future jobs, too! After all, I did three years majoring in it!
