So today I was finally given the nicu tour. I left there only having asked a couple of questions but left with a more smack of what's coming next. I was so full of different emotions. Not one bad, because I have full trust and faith in the staff, but just seeing some of the tinies that were up there was a big wake up call.
So this is the only picture I was able to really get. This is the bed he will be in at first and as he gets bigger and more stable he will graduate to a small crib. Only four visitors are allowed at one time. I understand that. I was told that Iz and Viola can be there but by the sounds of it not Henry. I was heartbroken. It crushes me. I have yet to ask why, but I don't think it's fair for him to not get the exposure to his own brother that will be coming home.
I asked if most moms stay all night and the nurse flat out said she encourages them to go home to sleep if the baby is stable. We need that rest and that made me feel a lot better as well!
If anyone is willing to help with Henry and Viola once he's here, I'd really appreciate it!
To free my brain and exhausted state we played outside for about 20 minutes with the kiddos this afternoon. Oh it was so nice and felt so good!! Henry was too busy to say cheese with us.
I had a great surprise with an old co-worker who dropped in for a visit and that made my day!! Thanks again, Allison!! I also had girly catch up with Brianne, Corinne and miss Caylee!
So other than being overly emotional after my tour and tired, we had a good day!
